MUSUBU

An exhibition co-curated by Hisako Nakazawa, Jody Alexander, Keiko Fujii (Tokyo Bookbinding Club) and Akiko Takiguchi (Urawa Art Museum). Musubu is a cross-cultural exhibit celebrating the strong book arts communities in the San Francisco Bay Area and Tokyo.

Musubu is a Japanese word that means: to tie, to connect, or to be bound by friendship. We thought this was the perfect word to represent an exhibit of bookmakers and bookbinders who are forming connections through their artwork.
